Month's Most Wanted

Hello beauties,
The end of March is upon us, wow this year is going so fast! Spring is officially here :) and we've had weather to match, at last! I mentioned not long ago that I'm really trying not to impulse buy, and really put thought into what I'm purchasing, asking myself how will it fit in with my existing wardrobe? I've been avoiding browsing online shops (and real life shops) in an attempt to save some money and not waste it all away! It's pretty impossible not to frequent the likes of asos.com, topshop.com etc. so I apologise that this Month's Wants are so boring!

H&M Basic T-Shirts: I've been talking about how I really want to focus on buying basics that I can dress up and down. T-shirts are perfect, and every girl should have a couple in a variation of colours. I have my eye on this navy/white striped number and just a classic white v-neck. I'd really love a navy blazer to pair with these, anyone have any recommendations?
[£4.99 each]

Topshop Scallop Edge Vest: I love these vests, they're really versatile and I love the scalloping. They make me instantly think 'Summer'. They have a massive range of colours but this 'Dark Blush' was probably my favourite. It goes beautifully with all the nude/camel colours that are big at the moment - think it would look gorgeous with some camel coloured shorts.
[£15.00]

Trevor Sorbie Self-Grip Rollers: I'm a girl, who is addicted to her GHD's. Every time I wash my hair I blow dry and then style it; whether it be straightened or curled. That's a heck of a lot of heat. I really want to get some rollers so I can use just a hairdryer and cut down on heat damage. These ones look great... you get 30 rollers in a wide range of sizes.
[£15.32]

Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick 'Vintage Pink': I swatched this lipstick the other day whilst in Boots and I love it! It's quite an unusual colour and I've heard someone say it's a more pink-toned version of MAC's Up The Amp. I love the Rimmel Moisture Renew lipsticks and I want to add a few more to my collection.
[£6.29]

They're my wants of the month! What are yours? Oh and if you have any recommendations of a good round brush let me know, I need to perfect my blow dry!

Nude and Sheer

Hello my lovelies,
Just a quick, casual and lazy outfit of the day today lol. I'm just pretty much hanging around the house as I only have one lesson at college - which is a bit of a result for me! I have so much extra work to do though so I should probably be getting on with it but you know, I'm such a big procastinator!

Sheer shirt, Zara
Nude camisole, Primark
Leggings + Bracelets, H&M

I didn't photograph my footwear because I was wearing my slippers, lets not lie! Aha. I really need to find a good place to take outfit photo's... I'm thinking I should probably buy a tripod?

I'm having a bit of a diet slump again, the weight is coming off so slowly now, which is a bit rubbish because it was all going so well. But I know that I really just need to step up on the exercise front, the diet goes really well but sometimes I'm a bit lazy when it comes to doing the 30 day shred!

Beautiful Weekend

Hello ladies,
England was blessed with the sun this weekend! It's really got me in the mood for summer, it just can't roll around any sooner, you with me? So in true British style, everyone was out and about strolling around in just shorts and a t-shirt... the sun was out, but the temperature still left us with goosebumps. That's how us Brits roll ;) On Saturday me and Dean went out for a bit of lunch/dinner and a stroll at a place called The Marina. It's kind of like a harbour alongside parades of shops, restaurants, flats and a casino, cinema and bowlplex. It's one of my favourite places to go in Brighton :)

I took some photo's because the weather was just so gorgeous and I couldn't pass the opportunity to snap some of the boats and waterside flats. Me and the boy were actually talking and we'd really like to try and rent one of these flats when we eventually move in with one another. How awesome would it be to live here? I shall leave you with some pictures...

Also popped in a photo of the Royal Pavilion that I took from the car on the way home, it's so pretty and makes me draw a deep breath every time I see it. If you've never visited Brighton before, I really recommend it. But then again I'm a tad bit biased ;) I adore Brighton and couldn't see myself living anywhere else!

Did you take advantage of the sun? Are you in the mood for summer or are you hoping for a long winter?

17 Lipstick 'Belle'

Bonjour bambinos,
Thought it was about time I got round to doing some swatches that I planned to do - admittedly, much later than I wanted to get them up but ah well. Better late than never ;)

So today the shade I'm sporting is 'Belle'. I've raved about these lipsticks plenty of times, so if you haven't got one or tried them out in Boots they're definitely worth a look!

So this is what it looks like on the lips, a really nice neutral baby pink. It's so wearable and can be paired with any make up you could wear. As you can see, you don't need to wear a gloss over the top they kind of remind me of the Lustre finished at MAC.

I realise that just lip swatches aren't always helpful and it's useful to see what it looks on the whole of someone's face, lol! So I've included some face shots for you guys :) Really recommend this lipstick - well, any of the shades actually!

What are you donning today?

Small Primark Haul

Hello my loves,
I promise you I shop elsewhere and not just Primark! Lol. I always feel like I can get my 'shopping fix' by going into Primark without spending too much money. Especially right now when I want to start getting ready for the sun but don't have a pocket full of cash. Anyways here are the bits I picked up...

Animal Print bandeau - £4
Just a summer basic, I love bandeau tops - I feel like they really flatter me. This one was only £4 so it was a bit of a steal. I can't wait until it heats up to start wearing it so will probably team it with some leggings and a chunky cardigan.

Navy and White Patterned Playsuit - £5
This is my first playsuit! I was in love with them last summer but I just couldn't find one that wasn't expensive but fit me really nicely too. But I found this one and I really like it... it's polka dot (sort of) and it's coming up as black and white but it's actually navy. The ruffles at the neckline are a nice touch, especially for £5!

Cream Open Knit Jumper - £12
In my opinion, this is quite pricey for what it is (considering it's Primark), but it is a damn site cheaper than those coming from Miss Selfridge or Topshop. Open knit jumpers seem to be everywhere and I think they're so easy to style!

Hearts and Stripes Jumper - £10
So cute! This doesn't look like it's from Primark at all. It's not a cropped jumper, but it's much shorter than the average - it hits just where your jeans/leggings start. They also have a really similar one that's American Flag style (red stripes, blue pockets with stars on).

Cobalt Maxi Dress - £11
This is my favourite buy of the year so far... I'm gonna throw it out there! Also, my first maxi dress, seems I popped two fashion cherries in one trip ;) Photo's will never do this dress justice... it fits me perfectly and is just the right length. It makes me feel so girly and comfortable. I just can't wait to wear it! For a mere £11 everyone should have one! I'm luckily blessed with an hourglass figure, but this is instant curves if you haven't!

Successful shopping trip all in all, with some really good buys. I think Primark are right on the mark at the moment! What's your 'buy of the year' so far?

Inspiration

Hello my lovelies,
Recently I've just been so 'blah' about my wardrobe. I know what styles I like, and what flatters me... however when I'm out shopping I tend to impulse buy and not really think about what I already have in my wardrobe. I always dismiss basics because I find them so boring to buy and would rather buy more fun and 'one off wear' things. So, what I've been doing to try and overcome this is to compile a folder on my desktop full of inspiration pictures that will keep me on the straight and narrow ;) I love structured, classic pieces mixed with more on trend items. On the whole, quite feminine, think Lauren Conrad. These are some pictures I'm taking inspiration from at the moment...

I would love to source each photo individually, but I got them all from weheartit and it's pretty near impossible (as well as time consuming) to track down each original source :(

How do you stop yourself from impulse shopping?

My week in photographs

Hello sweets,
So this week is the second week I went back to college after half term, which means my week wasn't all that exciting. But at least my body clock has returned to normal lol. However, I love doing and reading these posts, so I thought I'd do a little 'my week in photo's' stylie thing.

I rediscovered my love for egg and soldiers! Quite nostalgic and took me back to my childhood, it's delicious. And how cute is this little elephant egg cup? I used to have a frog one too but it smashed! I got them from The Rainforest Cafe in London - if you haven't been, you need to go!

I've been on a diet/health kick for about 7 weeks now, I've lost about 11lbs so far which I'm so happy about. It's not often I stick to diets, temptation gets the better of me. I suppose this time I was motivated. However, I've sort of hit a plateau, so I decided to write out a list of dinners for this week; all really healthy with plenty of veg and no meat. I'm not a vegetarian, nor am I trying to be... just trying to cut out some extra fat. I couldn't go without meat forever, as much as I'd like to.

I then went shopping for all my ingredients for my dinners, how yummy and colourful does all of this look?! I feel like if I have a plan to stick to and have a fridge stocked with only healthy things... I'll be less tempted to opt for quick meals like beans on toast instead of getting my installment of my 5-a-day!

This is my 'sweet and thoughtful girlfriend' side coming out, it doesn't come out all that often. My boyfriend is in love with football (as are most) and he actually is an assistant coach for an Under 14s football club... but this week he got promoted and has been given his very own football team to coach and manage. So proud of him! He loves anything with caramel, toffee, fudge or flapjacks so I popped to Sainsburys and picked up a 'Toffee Toffee Flapjack Pie' and stuck in some chocolate letters. I would've made him something, but I didn't have the time :(

I just wanted to say THANK YOU to Umberto Giannini for Backcomb In A Bottle, it's literally a godsend! That is all.

I finally picked up the perfume Diamonds from Next - which if you didn't know, is supposed to be a dupe for Dior Miss Cherie, apart from a small fraction of the price. For 30ml of the Dior perfume it's £43.92 and for 30ml of the Next perfume it's £6.50!! Garish name and bottle aside,I can confirm... they smell almost identical! Another cheap dupe is Katie Price's Stunning... however I'd rather buy the Next one, lol!

How has your week been... any highlights?
