fotd i guess?

I had a whole sunday to myself today, which lead to me just playing around with some make up. And I mentioned recently that I'm not really someone who wears alot of colour on their eyes, so I've been playing about with ways that I could wear colour on a day-to-day basis. This is a look that I actually really liked...

Please excuse the pjs and my natural hair :| What?! It's a sunday!! ;)

Kristin Cavallari

Hola chicas!
So I don't know if you're all aware but ASOS send out a magazine near the end of every month... I love flicking through the pages and looking at all the pretty pictures! They usually have a celebrity feature and this month it was Kristin Cavallari... I don't really like her from watching The Hills, she's a bit of a bitch - but I've gotta give her credit. She is unbelievably gorgeous and like most of The Hills girls... has an amazing wardrobe! I thought the photo's were stunning. You can find them on the ASOS website too, but I thought I'd post a few anyway to add to this complete ramble, lol.

Who's your fave on The Hills? Kristin - love her or hate her?

Saving the pennies

Hello lovelies :)
There won't be any hauls for a while because I'm trying to save for something that I've wanted for ages, and it's just got to the point where I cannot wait, lol. What I'm saving for is a Links of London sweetie charm bracelet...

This is the gorgeous bracelet, it comes in sizes small, medium and large. I'm sure you've all seen them before and are aware of what they are, but for those who don't - it's basically a fun version of a charm bracelet. You buy the bracelet like this and you buy you're own charms. The charms range from a whole variety of prices from £35 and upwards. Here are some of the charms I love:

Anybody got one of these? What charms do you have - what do they mean to you?

Oh la La Senza

Bonjour mes bebes!
I popped into La Senza on Monday to see if they had the pyjamas that featured in my wishlist post a while ago. Well... they didn't which sucked. But they did have a pretty good offer on (just a little bit of background information: I'm weirdly addicted to buying bras and underwear). It was 2 for £25 on specific lace bras and then 2 for £10 on the matching lace french knickers, here are the colours I got:

The bras are usually £20 and the french knickers.. around £6/8 I think. They also have a really pretty coral colour, but I settled on red. Thought I'd share this great deal with you!

Inspired: Peacock

Hey followers!
Well, i'm a bit annoyed to be honest... I can't wait to get my new camera because mine is so unbelievably crap. I just did an inspired make up look, and the camera won't focus properly, doesn't do some of the colours justice and just blanks out others!! ARGH!

Anyways, lol... I created an eye using inspiration from this picture (hopefully you can get the general idea from these crappy photos)...

The colours are much brighter in person!

PRODUCTS USED
UD BoS: jinx, homegrown, flipside and YDK
Sleek original palette: the navy and the yellow
Maybelline define a line eyeliner
Maybelline Lash Stiletto mascara
Rimmel Max Volume Flash mascara
Barry M white khol pencil
What gives you inspiration?

Grease lightning, go grease lightning!!

Hello my beautifuls,
I know everyone's getting bored of LUSH because of all the reviews and hauls around, but I did have a couple requests to say how this works, and how well. And even if you're bored of all the bubble bars and things... this might be a skincare product that could really help you out or something that you're interested in. This is the Grease Lightning spot treatment from LUSH. You get 45g of product... which doesn't sound a lot but trust me - a little goes a looong way. It retails at £5.10

LUSH says: Thyme for tea tree! Brand new, super effective spot zapping face gel, aloe and witch hazel. The thyme, tea tree and rosemary antibacterial infusion dries invisibly and you can feel the witch hazel shrinking mini-volcanoes. Go, Grease Lightning, you can now feel confident enough to rule the school. Or office.

This is an amazing product, seriously I don't think I could go without it anymore! Basically it's a gel, well no... it's a bit too liquidy to be a gel - but you get what I mean. I put one pump on a clean finger after I've already cleansed and toned at night time. I gently massage a bit onto any spots I have, then i go to bed. It has a very slight tea tree scent, but you really can't smell it clearly. In the morning, the spot has either gone completley or gone down but about 70%. It's brilliant!! It's better than any spot treatment I've ever used, it really works. I find it also tones down redness too. I can't praise this product highly enough, I really love it. It's going to be in my skincare routine for a long time!

What have been your experiences with this product?

What's the time Mr Wolf?

I was stolling through town about a week ago, when I suddenly decided I want a watch (I get weird urges, alot). I haven't had a watch in years... I looked in next, river island. Nothing I liked. So I popped into Argos and found a bargain!! So here's my beauty...

It's a white Sekonda watch with a mother of pearl face. It's beautiful and I love it. The thing that makes this 100 times better is that it's on sale! It was originally £40-£50 down to £19.99! It's also available in black I think.

This reminds me so much of the Chanel J12 that I've always longed for, but you know... in reality I'll never be able to afford one! Look at the similiarity!!!

Elf swatches and review

Hey guys!
So, swatches of the two mineral lipsticks I ordered from Elf have been requested, and of course, I'm more than happy to do them. After all, the whole reason I started this blog was to fulfil requests and share products with you!

Elf mineral lipsticks, £3.50 each
As you can see... 'nicely nude' isn't nicely nude at all lol, it's more of a hot pink. But I'm not too fussed as it's still a pretty colour. I thought when I swatched these on my hand they were the other way round... but nope. So be careful because on the Elf website the colours and names are deceptive.

I'm really impressed with these lipsticks - especially for the price! The formula is really creamy, goes on smooth, pigmented have a nice sheen. I did find them a bit drying though (as I find most lipsticks are). I really recommend these, there's a variety of colours and they're good quality also.

Elf eyebrow kit, £3.50
My eyebrow kit is in medium. You can get light, medium or dark. The darker side is wax and the lighter side is a powder. First off, I really like the packaging. It's slim and can fit nicely in your make-up bag and it's really quite NARSesque!

The kit comes with this mini, double ended brush. The angled side for the wax, and the other for the powder.

I do like this kit, however from using it I've realised that I prefer using pencils, I just don't think wax is for me really. I found that it was quite hard to pick up any wax product... I don't know if this is the wax itself, or the brush. I also only use the wax because using the powder along with the wax made my eyebrows really dark.

It's really easy to use, the angled brush is perfect for filling in eyebrows. The wax holds up really well all day, and it doesn't give your eyebrows that weird hard, crunchy effect. If you're a fan of using wax for your eyebrows this is a great buy! I will carry on using this, but I would dsay I prefer using a pencil, simply because I find it quicker. Maybe I'm just stuck in my ways lol. I really do like this, I think it's a fab buy for £3.50!! I'll just put some swatches for you guys below.

Elf Haul

Hi guys!
This is my first time purchasing any Elf products, so I'm pretty excited & sceptical about how they're going to be. You have to wonder why they're so cheap... but hey, I'm open minded! I got a couple of brushes, lipsticks, eyebrow kit and a make up bag. Here are the things I bought :) If you'd like any info/reviews on these products just leave a comment below :D

Eyeshadow brush £1.50
I couldn't really go wrong for £1.50. It's pretty soft, and dense enough to pack on colour.

Blending brush £.150
This is really similar to the previous, but the bristles are longer and in a dome/tapered shape. I just wish the packaging was a bit less cheap looking...

Contour brush (studio collection) - £3.50
I like the packaging of these brushes much more. And this is super soft compared to the others. I'm thinking this will be great for outer v's and crease colours.

Complexion brush (studio collection) - £3.50
This is a really soft brush, and it's kind of flat if you know what I mean?

Eyebrow kit in medium - £3.50
The darker colour is a wax and the lighter colour is a setting powder. To be honest, I'm not really sure how well this is going to work.

Nicely Nude (left) & Pouty Petal (right) miner lipstick - £3.50
These are suprisingly creamy. Nicely nude isn't really a nude, but is a very pretty pale pink colour. Pouty Petal is a bit darker and brighter. I'm so impressed with the formula of these!

Organizer make-up bag in Bronze - £10.00
I did actually want another one, but it was out of stock. So it has a normal make-up bag that is inside a kind of roll. On one side is pouches for brushes (which I was looking for) and on the other side is a mesh pouch. It's a really soft fake-leather kind of thing.

So like I said, this is my first time with Elf and I'm actually really impressed! The quality is much higher than I was expecting and the shipping was mega fast. I ordered on wednesday afternoon (12.30ish) and the package came the next day on the thursday morning (11ish). What are you experiences with Elf? Do you like it... do you not?

Last thing - sorry for the horrible quality pictures... but a camera is in the post on it's way to me so, hopefully that will be much better!
